Scope and Contents

Folder 1- A typed copy of an article from The Radford News from August 13, 1913 about the first building completed at Radford Normal.

Folder 2- History and information on the Log House, a photo of the Log House, correspondence concerning the ownership and history of the Log House, photocopied pictures, a map location of the Log House, photocopied pages from two books on Richard Whitt, a New River Historical Society report, plat plans for Radford Normal, and newspaper articles on Radford moving the Log House to this campus.

Folder 3- History of the building, Moffett Hall dedication speech to Dr. Moffett, dedication and homecoming programs.

Folder 4-6- Correspondence from President Martin to alumnae from Radford University about attending the Dr. Moffett dedication ceremony.

Folder 7- Dedication essay about the legacy of Dr. Moffett and Radford College, newspaper articles on Moffett hall opening, projected building plans, the Alumnae Association honoring Dr. Moffett at the 1963 Homecoming, and work that was done Moffett Hall.

Folder 8- Includes a history of Muse Hall, Muse Hall booklet, a Muse Hall guide, and an article from The Radford News on Muse Hall.

Folder 9- Dedication essay on Madame Russell, building contract on Russell Hall, building report, and correspondence from McConnell.

Folder 10- Correspondence between Dedmon and Mrs. Silverman concerning Mr. Silverman’s death on January 5, 1973, the memorandum sent out to faculty and students, newspaper articles on Silverman’s death and the Fine Arts Center that was dedicated to him, the Board of Visitors record of the death and the resolution that dedicated the building.

Folder 11- Student paper about Dr. Peters, which Peters Hall is named for, Dr David W. Peters and the Transformation of Women's Higher Education by Drew Hammock.
