Biographical/Historical Note
Jerry Eugene McGlown (1948-1999) was born in Oxford, MS April 20, 1948. He received a B.A. from University of Mississippi (1970), an M.F.A. from Memphis State University. Taught theatre, sociology, and theatre at various colleges such as Tougaloo College in Jackson MS, North West Junior College in Senatobia MS, Director of Theatre at LeMoyne-Owen college in Memphis, TN from 1980-1985. As part of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Visiting Professor Program, he taught theatre at Virginia Tech and at Radford University.
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of 13 plays written by Jerry Eugene McGlown, and 1 issue of the May 1988 issue of Radford Magazine. 1 play is dated 1978, 1 play is dated 1987, the remaining 11 are not dated.
